Depending on performance and availability of funding, this opportunity is expected to develop into a paid position. This position is an excellent learning opportunity for a motivated undergraduate student to perform cutting-edge research in cell biology. Potential candidates must be willing to perform routine, as well as exciting research functions. Duties may include preparing and labeling cells for fluorescent and confocal imaging, biochemical analysis, and molecular manipulations of cell lines, as well as other standard laboratory functions. Fastidious attention to detail and organizational skills are required. The successful candidate must be able to work well as a member of a team and communicate effectively. Prior work experience (not necessarily related) is required. Impeccable work ethic is required. Knowledge of cell culture, immunocytochemistry, or modern molecular biology techniques is a plus.
