Members of ACE are part of an international team that has created a cost efficient method to accurately predict the trajectory of a person’s cancer. It shows that some cancers, or pre-cancers, may be present for many years or even decades before causing any trouble and needing treatment, and alternatively, it identifies high-risk cancers that need to be treated promptly.  The work is published in the September 10th 2025 issue of the journal Nature, and the accompanying News and Views article comments:  “The ability to measure tumour growth rates and predict prognosis or potentially aggressive transformations from simple tests holds substantial promise for proactive and personalized cancer care.”  You can also read about this important research in the ASU News article.
